Hero Cop Will Not Be Charged

She was in the lead, pounding at the final obstruction between the mob and the Congress other than a handful of guards including the officer who did what he reasonably thought needed to be done. What person in her right mind wouldn't think she was risking her life in that circumstance.

Agreed.

Well, I guess this is just all bullshit then...

But you do not accept any of the "fake news"? Just news that agrees with your perspective. So you get a President-Elect investigating a homicide? That just does not seem possible to me.

Now you are backing down and saying he is aware of it from reading the news. How is that unethical?

Depends on the quality of the news. How did you get he would be investigating the homicide from what I posted?

He gets briefings, too. How would it be unethical for him to be informed of basic matters?

He totally over reacted, shooting at an unarmed 100lb woman shows that.

Dude. He shot a trespasser. A criminal They were attacking us. Don't you care? The cops could have shot everyone - I'm glad they didn't - but they'd been within their rights to do so.

Get off your partisan hobby horse. She committed a crime. I'm sorry she's dead, but it wasn't the cop's fault. It was hers.

Why did no other cops feel threatened enough to fire? I've said many times they were idiots, but hey, they were just following Cory Booker's suggestion...

“Please don’t just come here today and then go home,” Booker told attendees of the National Conference on Ending Homelessness. “Go to the Hill today. Get up and, please, get up in the face of some congresspeople.”

Dude. You commit a crime, like trespassing - you take the risk. You're always all over liberals for not being responsible, hold that woman responsible for her own actions.

Or don't. I really don't care.

That doesn't answer my question. Why didn't any other cop feel threatened enough to fire too? And what about Booker's statement? Did they act on his suggestion? Whachasay?

I don't know why any other cop didn't shoot anyone. They were within their rights to. Other's actions or inactions don't mean what the cop who shot Babbit was wrong, dude.

He was within his rights. She was committing a crime. It was a tragedy, like an accident, but the only guilty person is Babbit.

Well, you did answer one of my questions, so I'll give you a 50%. Good thing it wasn't a curriculum test, huh?

Wrong. Did you look at the federal Use of Force model I posted? This asshole completely ignored his training and shot Babbitt in the back. He deserves to be charged and tried for that.

You are completely wrong. The federal Use of Force rules show he failed to follow them and for that he should be criminally tried.

That is not a partisan position. That cop reached through a bunch of armed, and armored cops to shoot into a crowd which was backed behind other cops. At that point, no retreat was possible.
