trump most certainly has his failings but that, as your post points out, will not be enough to get lots of folks to vote Dem.

While these reasons (perhaps) play well w/ their base, in recent polling it certainly does not poll well in the general electorate..

One of the criticisms of trump (& IMHO it is valid) is he plays to his base, pleasing them & the hell w/ everyone else, & most Dems I believe think this is a loosing strategy for trump, & yet it seems to me the Dems are doing the same, playing to their base..

I tend to agree with you. I have stated on multiple occasions, right here on JPP, that both parties have failed the country and both need to be replaced with parties that will actually put the country ahead of party. The current GOP/Democrat swamp is doing the country in. Trump is just accelerating the damage.

I would like to see a multi-party system..

Small countries w/ 5 million ppl have 5-10 choices, we got well over 300 million & only two is suppose to cover the diversity of ideas, thoughts, wishes etc?? Especially in a shitty winner take all system like this....
