you do know Biden had to re-insert 4k to secure Karzai International airport?

So we had more then the 5k that Biden would have needed to hold Bagram
and the 13 dead Americans ( and many who lost limbs) would not have happened

I'll say it again: you don't get out of a war-torn country after nearly 20 years without losses. That's why you don't start wars to begin with.

Trump had no KIA because he was too much of a coward to get us out of there. He punted.

When trump surrendered Afghanistan air bases to the Taliban, the Afghan Air Force became a Taliban asset. I am happy they lost the capability to fly their aircraft.

Is it possible that Putin and his forces didn't know the intelligence they were working with was complete crap? It seems they really expected to be welcomed with open arms in Ukraine.

I can understand the rank and file being misinformed, but PUTIN? What does that say about the echo chamber world he inhabits?

Getting out thru Bagram was a secure withdrawal instead of a rout that turned into a chaotic Evac

Trump had a stable situation. 2500 to secure Afghan when no one was getting KIA
was a very small contingent to hold the country

and how about all the equipment?
Night vision goggles,small arm by the ten thousands, 100k rounds of ammo. armored Humves
all that was lost and fell into Taliban hands, and those were not "disabled" like the Kabul cache

when we gave up Bagram we ensured a route because Biden decided to make the Embassy thru Karzai International instead of a US military base the last protected area

Fewer Soldiers got killed per month on average during Trump's administration in Afghanistan than got killed per month on average during the Biden Administration while the US was in Afghanistan.

I think Putin missed the INTEl we saw from the battlefield of Libya
Before Ukraine it was the most high tech battlefield.. Libya had (has) Turkish drones, precision artillery..

we just "spent" 54 billion on Ukraine. 40 billion just voted on and about 14 billion total before that

As for the equipment, it wasn't sitting on pallets in safe territory waiting to airlifted. You can't complain about casualties then say we should have put troops in harm's way to retrieve it.

I'm not going to argue that it couldn't have been done in a better fashion. Any loss of life is tragic. But the Biden administration gave Americans working in Afg. MONTHS to evacuate, and they ignored the suggestion. Also...many were evacuated via CIA secret channels that only a moron like trump would publicly brag about. There was never any public mention of these people
