Right Wingers~ Explain Socialism to me

Youve never seen a shortage because you havent lived long enough or your just to dim to have noticed.

In the late 60s-early 70s they had shortages of police and firemen and public employees in general in alot of major cities. BECAUSE THE PAY WAS WAAAY TO LOW, grasp that right winger who thinks everyone should be a lackey for the rich and work for free.
It was until police pay went up considerably before the shortages went away.

Do you have anything credible to support your dimwitted claim; or is this another "because you say so"?

It’s humorous when he writes that he agrees with libertarians then spews his authoritarian socialist ideology contradicting everything that is libertarian.

???

why has now one replied to his question, it would make it alot easier. So I am not really apart of the US party system I believe in socialism so if I were to be apart of one i would be leaning towards democrat. Anyways socialism is a mild form of communism, communism as you probably know means all people are equal. Although their has never been an actual successful communist country. Anyways off topic, socialism is a mild form of making everyone equal, meaning national healthcare, wages are more equal, factories, stores, etc. are not completely owned by the state but the state does have a say in certain stuff that it can do (communism would be the extreme the state would control production) so bassicly to explain socialism in its simplest form is a mild version of communism

Sound like a mild case of AIDS. I'll pass

They did explain it to you; but in typical dimwit leftist fashion you declared them all to be wrong and claimed it was Capitalism. But this is what Internet dimwit trolls do. They engage in tireless efforts to remove all doubt what complete dullards they are.

Why don't you explain how Obamas policies abide by the intent of our Constitution? While you're at it, explain why our founders distrusted Democracy so much and purposefully created a political system that made legislation difficult.

You're a low information sheeple who spends way too much time bleating the tired canards of leftists and too little time actually thinking.

Child............they didn't. And if you think they did you are a typical American. You haven't taken 5 minutes out of your day to learn about Socialism.

anti-party can't name which positions he supports without outing himself as a liar

You are so correct here. Because I can't challenge certain opinions without holding the platform opionion. I'm not allowed to be smart, I just have to fall in line............Republicans are pathetic.

You really don't deserve a response to this, or any other question you ever post on this forum with answers like this. I don't have a problem with condecension, but when it becomes the entire focal point of your threads (ZOMG 465 views and no ruhsponsus!!!1), we can only assume you are trolling. Also, I'm curious why your sthick is always to call people "child." You basically have to back that one up with a wealth of intellect after a while, and I'm not holding my breath for that day to arrive soon.

That said, the standard textbook definition for socialism is this: A state where the government owns and controls the means of production.

Typical gibberish from the Fox hater. When you are challenged and your back is to the wall, you attempt a cop-out with a pathetic snow job. How cowardly!

Wrong again dimwit; it would be YOU who doesn't have the first clue about Socialism. But alas, you're a clueless dimwit; how could you know this?

Even though your description is naively lame....We Americans would rather be free than "equal", in the fashion you define 'equal'.....we reward the talented, making
them a little 'more' equal...

I'm not typing it out. I'll sum it up for you though: It's a political-economic system/philosophy that doesn't work once the workers realize they are working their collective asses off(supposedly)and receiving the fruit of their labor according to their NEED(and guess who decides what they NEED?)
Interesting. You just explained how something DIDN'T work without even explaing what IT IS. LOL

AP is right. You don't know what socialism is. Most right wingers don't know what Socialism is. To most it means either, anything you believe that I don't agree with is socialism or if the government provides any services at all, it is socialism. Both are utterly stupid but that's what most people think socialism is.

I'm going to end AP's misery and define it for those who don't know what Socialism is. Simply stated, socialism is a socio-economic system in which the State controls the means of production.

Socialism is a governmental system wherein the government, not private individuals, own the industries. There is no 'private sector' in socialism; there are only divisions of the government. If you want to do engage in X pursuit, you must get the government to hire you onto their existing branch of X pursuit, or convince them to start a new one based on your ideas.

There is absolutely nothing about anything going on in America today that looks even remotely socialist to anyone who knows what socialism is.

Yeah, that's too easy for AP when he goes on his socialism rants. Do you think if I would have posted THAT it would have put an end to this thread? I have the web sites for the world socialists(wsws.org)and the communist manifesto(Marxist.org)bookmarked, I've engaged in drunken heated debate with socialists in Greece and communists in Italy. I know far more about both of them(socialists and communists)then I ever wanted to know, and one of the things I know is that with socialists and communists definitions are moving targets, so it doesn't mean a damn thing. To me, they are both just more(or less)evolved democrats.
