ANY implication of violence is crossing a line. IMO, rape comments, sexually degrading comments, racist #%€£¥, all that kind of stuff, is crossing the line. I always thought we could use some condemnation of that kind of stuff. I mean, there's other stuff. For instance, I don't' know about you but i personally have never bragged about #%€£¥ another poster's mother! And you can be nice. You know, if you're nice most people, but not all, wil be nice to you. I'm always nice to you! But I'm not always nice to everyone.
Also, and to me this is important. Politics are a passionate subject. We are talking in many cases about things that have very real implications. Whether or not I have access to abortion. Whether or not poor women have access to birth control. Whether seniors should have a full safety net. Whether or not poor children have a right to food. These and so many more are all passionate subjects. People should NOT be nice about them all of the time because that privileges manners over people. Manners aren't that important. People are.
