Socialized medicine a global failure

Almost. The fact is doctors limit the number of people who can go into medicine. That is how they create an artificial shortage and allows them to gouge us at will. They are protecting themselves at the people's expense. Our systm has little to reccommend to the world. But a doctor abroad who is greedy might come here to get rich. That is not bringing the cream of the crop here.

Actually, if the AMA actually has such power, then there is actually a roll for government to fix it. Do you have evidence of your claims?

Doctors do come to America because America’s doctors are among the best paid on earth. Why is that GREED? Do you expect to be rewarded for your work? Don’t you seek the vocation and employer that pays you the most? Oh! Forgive me, you don’t answer tough questions like all leftist progressives, huh?

American kids are priced out of Medical School education.

And, an Internal Medicine doctor can't make a good living unless he/she does procedures.

Maybe more Americans that can qualify for medical schools avoid them because of the malpractice insurance cost after they graduate? Maybe our law makers need to regulate the LAWYER business and the SUE EM business, huh?

Maybe if Americas PUBLIC education, (controlled by the feds), system were better, more of Americas youth would qualify for scholarships to medical schools, whatdayathink?

Ah yes the WHO is a left wing propaganda operation. Isn't everyone? And everything? Everywhere? (except Fox that is)

WHOm Are They Kidding?
1.

Those who cite the WHO ranking to justify greater government involvement in the health system — like the plans pitched by the leading Democratic presidential candidates — are assuming what they’re trying to prove. The WHO healthcare ranking system does not escape political bias. It advances ideological assumptions that most Americans might find questionable under the guise of objectivity.

Socialized medicine a global failure

There is indeed a lot to learn from foreign, government-run single-payer systems — just not what Sanders and others might like to hear. From Canada to the United Kingdom and even Scandinavia, single-payer systems have proven cripplingly expensive even as they limit patients’ ability to access quality care.

Consider Canada’s true single-payer system. Patients must wait an average of more than two months to see a specialist after getting a referral from their general practitioner, according to the Fraser Institute, a nonpartisan Canadian think tank. Patients can expect to wait another 9.8 weeks, on average, before receiving the treatment they need from that specialist.

Access to care is so poor, in fact, that 52,000 Canadians flee to the United States each year for medical attention. They refuse to wait in line for care as their health deteriorates.

The situation is no better under Great Britain’s mainly government-run health system.

As of this summer, 3.4 million Brits were stuck on waiting lists — a 36 percent uptick since 2010. Last year, about a million people had to wait more than four months to get treatment. Almost 300,000 waited at least six months.

More to come tomorrow.

The US has waiting lists too. In fact its not that much better than the UK. 76% wait less than 4 weeks for a specialist in the US compared to 80% in the UK. 6% wait 2 months or more for a specialist in the US, compared to 7% in the UK. How many who are on the waiting list doesn't matter as much as how long the average person is waiting, which is something you conveniently left out in your post.

Mal practice insurance is a racket. The only reasonable state I know of is Soth Carolina.

Medical school in the US is too expensive for most kids.

Most doctors aren't members of the AMA.

How do they do that?

Well friend you made accusations about doctors, maybe you should post some evidence? And while your at it maybe you can answer the questions, I quote them,

"Doctors do come to America because America’s doctors are among the best paid on earth. Why is that GREED? Do you expect to be rewarded for your work? Don’t you seek the vocation and employer that pays you the most?"

You should be more careful when you are attributing quotes to me.

To be in the AMA all a doctor has to do is pay his dues.. Sometimes they give away a Merck Manual if you join so docs do sign up, but most let their membership lapse.

My bad! The quote of course belongs to my good buddy Nordi. My experiences with my good buddy Nordi is he loves to make accusations but also loves to ignore putting facts to them. His claim that doctors are responsible for doctor shortages I do believe is just another of his WHOPPERS!

Let's see what Trump says.

17) "The Canadian plan also helps Canadians live longer and healthier than America. … We need, as a nation, to reexamine the single-payer plan, as many individual states are doing." (2000)

18) “There’s many different ways (to fix health care), by the way. Everybody’s got to be covered. This is an un-Republican thing for me to say because a lot of times they say, ‘No, no, the lower 25 percent that can’t afford private.’ But...I am going to take care of everybody. I don’t care if it costs me votes or not. Everybody’s going to be taken care of much better than they’re taken care of now....the government’s gonna pay for it.” – Trump still supporting single payer, government-run healthcare in 2015

19) “I identify more as a Democrat.” – (2004)

I don't care what Trump or any other politician says, I only care about what they do! 99.9% of what politicians say is bullshit anyhow and there's very, very few exceptions. I didn't vote for Trump or anybody else in the duopoly's rigged election. It doesn't surprise me that Trump said he supported Single Payer. After all, Trump has his own private jet to fly him anywhere in the world for exceptional healthcare and he can afford it. That's just another issue related to Single Payer and why so many millionaires and billionaires support it. i. e. it's no skin off of their ass!

and you fight to keep children from healthcare out of some idiot loyalty to a failed set political ideas that you are too stupid to see was designed by evil men for the benefit of their bank accounts

see how badly it has failed ?

even the people who duped you ( the republican party) bailed on that stupid when it didn't fit their aims of the moment

why not get your self right with the facts

you still have time to leave a decent legacy

Well, insurance companies are pretty happy .. likewise the stockholders in for profit hospital chains.

Part of leaving a decent legacy is teaching those that come after you to provide for themselves what they should be providing for themselves. You do that by setting an example. Sadly, the example you want to leave for yours is to refuse to do so then beg the government to force someone else to do it.

Not once have I denied a child to which I hold a responsibility healthcare. MY kids are the only ones to which I held that responsibility and I met it.

Robo must love to be wrong judging by how well he embraces it. The wealthy are trying to eliminate all social programs that benefit the masses. They want to end Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and welfare for starters. They are fighting universal healthcare as hard as they can. The wealthy are creating a plutocracy , the same one Robo is fighting for.

The freeloaders and those that enable freeloaders want to expand social programs. They want to create a society, whereby, the lazy and unwilling get things they didn't earn paid for by those they despise yet go to when they want something funded.

A man in North Wales was on a waiting list for a hip operation but decided to go to Lithuania to have it done. The NHS paid him the £6000 that the operation cost. This is a relatively newish policy and is helping to clear waiting lists.

https://www.dailypost.co.uk/news/north-wales-news/hip-operation-abroad-billed-nhs-15869577

How Ironic that you foolishly believe that this is making a broken system work. You have to travel 1,500 miles to another country to get an operation we, in the USA, take for granted?

Do you see how stupid this looks? Did they also reimburse him all of his travel costs? I cannot imagine a better declaration of failure than forcing one's citizens to travel great distances to get a fairly routine operation in order to lower the long waiting lists of a failed and corrupt medical system.

It's a known fact, but non-reported fact by the WHO and leftist media that the UK ships many, many of their critical operations to India because of their Single Payer overloaded waiting list.

Amazing isn't it? And these dullards call this a success or good thing. Morons.
