Driving to a well lit area is recommended. (probably for the safety of both parties)
What is the purpose of asking 'Why am I being pulled over'. The Cop, if he doesn't have a valid reason, can just make shit up: 'illegal lane change', 'car fits the description of a Burglary', etc.
In this case, the Driver said "What is going on?".
Cops: "Get out of the vehicle!"
Driver: "What is going on?"
Cops: "Get out of the vehicle!"
Driver: "What is going on?"
This looks like the guy is intentionally 'Playing Stupid'.
It's a simple request. Happens every day. Very typical.
In my view, Cops have a tough job, they have no idea what is going to happen at any given interaction with the Public. I try to calm their fears so 'mistakes' DON'T happen.
Cops typically have no issues telling drivers why they are being pulled over, unless they’ve stopped you for driving while black.
In my view, fuck a cop, unless he demonstrates a proper, civil, respectful demeanor I have very little to say to him. Legally, I don’t have to say anything. License and registration is what they get. If going to court is necessary, I didn’t talk to him because of his aggressive behavior. I know a lot of cops, who advise me of what I am legally obligated to do
This is a good example of what Police face every day. Why make their job harder and less safe?
Their mental state of mind should be..This guy could kill us!

Why does race only matter if it's a white cop on a non obeying black? Some are asshole cops and deserve to be punished for overreacting, I agree that is true. I don't see that in this case.
It ain't publicized because nobody cares about the asshole white guy who got sprayed because he wouldn't get out of his car. That ain't news. But a black...? Stir the racial pot.

That's why the city will settle with him, and taxpayers will have to pay for more police recklessness when settlements should be paid by police pension funds.
These cops were looking for trouble. They had no reason to pull him over or to demand he get it if the car. Blacks know what happens when they comply. What followed showed you.
