Boards that are frequented by decent people and have an audience who are credible people won't allow any real criticism of the US and it's warring policies. All boards are politically slanted and that doesn't work for people in other countries who see the value in a forum as being able to criticize the US and it's foreign policy.

This board just appears to be desperate enough for traffic that it will allow nearly anything.

I have no problem with allowing nearly anything. I can ignore the idiots and talk to people with varying perspectives whether I agree with them or not. As you can imagine, being a self-identified black socialist attracts all manner of knuckleheads. There is one on this board who ONLY posts racist shit directed at me. I don't care. He's on IA .. I barely know that he's here.

I'm willing to apologize and put our bit of rancor behind us. It never happened.

This is a great Board while the old "Rate President Bush" Board was controlled by Leftists AOL...proof, it was closed up after Obama won the election. There never was a "Rate President Obama" Board like there should have been, and it wasn't because it did not get any "action", it had more "hits" than all their multitude(40+) of other Boards combined.....All True

Most "boards" would ban you for saying "bitching".........I've been banned by many forums for stating Bush was a curse word.

If I had to guess I would say a Left Winger did the work to provide that link and today there are no Left Wingers willing to work for a Right Winger who want them to make a link.

But that doesn't stop us from trying to improve THIS board, does it?

Now that I've put so many people on ignore, and I avoid threads started by people I know I don't like, this board is decent most of the time. I like the size of it - it has few enough people that I get to know them (as much as one can know people on an internet board), but enough people that there is variety. I don't like the nastiness that is allowed on this board, but the ignore feature has taken care of most of that. Debatepolitics doesn't allow the nastiness; but there are so many people on there it's hard to get to familiar with them, hard to know whose posts you like and whose you don't.

I wish this board were better in terms of the nastiness; but oh well.

Improving the board is incumbent upon those of us who like it and respect the time, efforts, and work of the administrators.

As you can see .. I get nastiness flying at me from the netherworld .. but I simply put those assholes on IA .. and they can say whatever the hell they want .. why would I care?

I agree with you my wise friend .. but the assholes aren't important, people like you are.

Why would I want to miss conversations with you because some assholes are here? I wouldn't.

We can make the board better, but if it remains open to the public, assholes will always be around.

They are affordable; there are companies that will install panels with no upfront fee, and then you pay them monthly until they are paid off. The monthly payment is usually less than the utility payment. (Obviously this will vary by region)
