Fresh from the imposition of flag-burning classes in schools and compulsory homosexuality the hard-working Christian family is, once more, under siege in the State of California. The heathen hordes are now seeking to impose their immoral ways on God's chosen birds, the humble pigeon. Under the wafer-thin pretext of civic concern over the amount of excrement the misunderstood pigeon produces the pagans are planning a wave of avian abortion, the like of which the World has never seen before.

It is only a matter of time before the pigeon minority are forced to paint their beaks yellow, lofts are destroyed in a wave of anti-pigeon enmity and the trains are filled with bedraggled birds facing their final journey to oblivion.
Vindictiveness is what it is, nothing less.
Sure, there are some powerful pigeons on the boards of our blue chip companies, in government and on the world stage, but if we pluck them do they not freeze? Is the pigeon really responsible for the economic downturn, the foreclosure, the inflation? Do they really seek the ultimate destruction of the dove, the sparrow and the crow?
Yes, they may have killed Jesus and they do shit a lot, but they do not control the airwaves. There is no pigeon conspiracy, dammit.

The tabloids are full of lurid headlines this morning. Nothing unusual in that you may say and you would be correct. However, the difference is not the sensationalism, the fear-mongering or the lies, rather it is the subject. It is said Britain is plagued with a Great White Shark, like wot was in Jaws and that, except a real one not a big plastic remote controlled one.
A fine story, indeed, with just a smattering of tiny flaws:
Flaw One - The video footage shot of our would-be man-eater proves it is a harmless basking shark.
Flaw Two - The Professor of Sharkage at Oxbridge University expresses a degree of scepticism or, to quote him directly, “Bollocks”.
Flaw Three – The whole house of cards is built, somewhat precariously, on the word of some individual whose expert knowledge of the fish kingdom is based, almost exclusively, on the shockingly poor Robert De Niros vehicle, 'A Shark's Tale'.
For the love of God, Roy Schneiders, where are you.
