What would the ideal leftist America look like?

Second, education doesn't take place as a single event using a single person doing it over a very short period of time.

So you're going to move the bar now?

Education takes place as a single event in each classroom, and in each class.

A teacher, unlike a parent, goes through training and certification...what sort of training and/or certification do parents go through? None.

So what makes you think parents are entitled to tell teachers how to do their job?

Do teachers come down to where you work and slap the dick out of your big, fat mouth?

As to the answer, which doesn't address your question directly, but is an answer, I would rather have a passionate, knowledgeable, amateur in a ramshackle classroom teaching a subject, to a professional that has a mediocre grasp of the subject knowledge and no real passion for teaching it in the most modern and well-equipped classroom in existence.

The only one with a mediocre grasp on education is the guy who has no training in it...so...YOU.

So this is really just a projection, isn't it?

You're projecting your lack of a grasp on basic subjects like education onto the public school teachers you're trying to undermine because you rightfully feel insecure when your credentials are matched with theirs.

Maybe someone should come down to where you work and slap the dick out of your mouth, so you know how it feels.

Now you are making a non sequitur.

You opened your big mouth and said that schooling isn't a life/death issue, except for the fact that dozens or even hundreds of kids are killed in schools every year.

I can't help it that you don't know what you're trying to say from post to post...you need to better organize your thoughts or I'm going to do it for you.

School shootings are not part of the education process unless you are claiming that is the case and it is educators killing them for reasons related to getting an education.

They are a part of the education process now because all schools have to do active shooter drills thanks to your support of letting the problem have guns.

it is educators killing them for reasons related to getting an education.

So you're saying all those mass shootings at schools are being committed by teachers?

Or are you speaking figuratively and melodramatically here, as you tend to do whenever you start losing an argument?

Anyone can participate of course but I'm interested in hearing from leftists what America would like if every leftist ideal was realized. What would America be like? What would you do once every perceived injustice has been corrected?

Trying to describe an ideal America is a waste of time at this point.

We're lightyears away from constructing a tolerable one.

Irrelevant appeal to authority.

Nope...again, this is another instance of you coming up with an excuse to avoid dealing with the consequences of your actual beliefs, and the actual garbage you post here on JPP.

You have no fucking idea what goes in to being a teacher, no idea what the job entails, no idea how any of it is administered, and you don't even have an idea of how the trash gets picked up, or how the kids get fed.

Basically, you're lazy and entitled.

Just because someone got a degree in education or whatever, doesn't mean they know shit about how to do it.

That is, in fact, the entire purpose of getting a degree.

It sounds to me like you never got one and you're trying to convince yourself that because you never got one, you have insight into this topic no one else does.

But the fact is that you have zero insight into this because you're not a teacher, you're not an administrator, you're not a teacher's assistant, you're not a student, you haven't set foot in a classroom in decades, and you're not anything related to education.

But apparently that ignorance isn't enough to keep your big, fat, stupid mouth shut.

I believe Gardner was in the army or navy and claims to have an advanced degree from the military--in the history of weapons.,

Isn't it convenient how all these dumbass Conservatives say they have advanced degrees that somehow magically validates every stupid thing they say here?

But then when you ask for proof of it, they get all defensive, shrill, and touchy?

I don't know Gardner's true credentials. But most of what he writes is inane.

I think your version makes bad assumptions about the level of education and skill of parents...

A teacher with a liberal arts degree in education who has little grasp of science, math, or other technical topics is likely far more unfit to be teaching those subjects than a parent who is employed and using them on a daily basis in the real world, as but one example.

Teachers have no particular lock on knowledge that others don't.

I do multiple replies to your posts because your thoughts are so scattered, disorganized, and erratic.

You should be thanking me for doing that because I organize your thoughts for you, no charge.

You're welcome, by the way.

Do parents go through the same education and certification process as teachers? No.

Do parents go through the same education and certification process as administrators? No.

Do parents go through the same education and certification process as guidance counselors and social workers? No.

So how does your BS in Bullshitting qualify you to educate kids?

OK, it is YOUR assessment as a NOT TEACHER that an ambiguous and vague teacher has little grasp on the subjects they're teaching.

What makes you think you're entitled to making that judgment?

Are you a teacher? No.

Are you a principal? No.

Are you a guidance counselor? No.

Are you a student? No.

When was the last time you set foot in a classroom? Probably more than 25 years ago.

So this is just projection because you ultimately have no degree or firm grasp on any subject, and you know that, so you try to drag everyone down to your shitty level, when you put yourself in that corner by opening your big mouth.
