What's your spiritual faith and why do you believe in it?

But once paint is on the walls it becomes a part of it and it actually defines the walls....Depending on color =)

no...it does not "define" the wall.....it just sticks to it.......the material it is constructed of does a much better job of defining it.....is it a brick wall?.....a paper wall?.....

by the way, this divergence does nothing to mask the fact you know fuck-all about predestination.....

Religious socialists are little collectivist softies who've always lack the conviction to get things done. That's provided they can keep themselves out of prison long enough to try. Harrington wrote that their only purpose was call churchgoers to socialism, then be made irrelevant by the progress which they help create.

I am not familiar with Harrington.

the question put did not involve which god and I believe it was a capital G so that lets allah out. But assuming it was belief in whomever and were there no whoever then having lived a rightous life is worthwild. But for the other who lived what he consideted a rightous life and eschewed God he better hope he considered correctly and God is feeling charitable. Big roll of the dice IMO.

I have read that Allah is the same god as the god of Abraham, Moses and the god of Jesus. I believe it is in the Bible.

Wonderful man. He started out in religious labour activism, but became associated with a group of Shatchmanites and Trotskyists who called him to the cause of international socialism. He remained heavily involved in radical politics in the years to follow, and In 1962, The Other America was published. It gained Harrington national recognition, and was such a big hit that LBJ, upon reading it, was prompted to start his "war on poverty." Though the "war" itself did not involve its intellectual parent, and wasn't sufficiently aggressive. Throughout the rest of his life Harrington was critically engaged with the American left. Notably on the topic of communism, which he strongly disapproved of. He also wrote consistently until his death. When diagnosed with cancer, he asked his doctor that he be allowed the time to write a final book, knowing it would be his last. This took the form of an encapsulation of the themes Harrington grappled with throughout his career, and a powerful written understanding of socialism. I can only be grateful that such a text exists in this world. Because while Harrington may have never seen his paradise, his legacy is a prayer that we can inch towards it. His organization, the Democratic Socialists of America still exists today, and is very active.

I recommend that you take a look at his last work: http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/425648.Socialism
And his organization: http://www.dsausa.org/

The first name helped ring a bell, but I am not that familiar with his positions, so thanks, again.

again no.....Pascal's Wager is that one should believe, because it costs him nothing if he's wrong and he's in heaven if he's right......CG's statement was that he's living his life the way he believes it should be lived, regardless of whether there's a God or not........

Pascal's Wager is idiotic. No one believes in God based on that reasoning.

The one that has been preserved throughout history. The one for which there is a preponderance of evidence in support of. I highly recommend the book How We Got The Bible by Neil Lightfoot or if you have the time you could take the correspondence course offered here: http://www.god-answers.org/Online_Tools/books/How_We_Got_the_Bible.pdf

Fascinating. I'd like to read the New Testament in Ancient Greek one day, there's really not a lot more to read in that language besides Plato and Iliad/Odyssey. But it's Koine isn't entirely mutually intelligible, so I imagine it will be something of a challenge...

Pfft, we are talking about a fictional entity, how meaningful is it to say that they are the "same"? Christians claim descent from Judaism and no longer claim Jews (although there were sects of early Christianity that weren't much distinguished from the religion of their ancestors), Muslims claim descent from Christianity and Judaism but don't claim to be Christians, Mormons claim the same descent but do claim to be Christians. IMO, it's all just Jewish fanfiction.

By Communism, I would assume you mean Marxism-Leninism-Stalinism? Because Marxism-Leninism-Trotskyism is technically a form of Communism.

Future pimps and abusive husbands will be most thankful for that lesson, to obey the person that hits you.

That's where you inability to comprehend fails you.
A spanking is used to get the attention of a child who fails to pay attention.
It's not meant to harm or to be life threatening and it is not a beating; but it's probably safe to say, that you wanted to be your child's best friend.
