Where Do Confederate Monuments Go After They Come Down?

So about that fucking douchebag....

First, he screeched about asking him if he would forget who lost the Civil War if the monuments to Confederates were taken down. Then in virtually the next post, he argues that we have to keep the monuments for fear of forgetting history.

So he obviously needs these statues, otherwise he will have no idea who won the Civil War.

Character Assassin and LV are now gangbanging. A sure sign of defeat.

You two deserve each other. I skipped over several of your posts because they are repetitions of your simple arguments. You have already conceded that they are based on opinion. Somehow yours are legitimate, but only yours.

You screeched like a barnyard animal that I implied you need monuments in order to remember history. Then in virtually the next post you argue you need the monuments in order to...remember history.

So when you screeched a response to me, you were just bullshitting.

No, that is you. Your contention is that people of color are intimidated by statues at Gettysburg. Show us, or STFU.

Of course they are. That's why they were built. That's why they were constructed long after the Civil War by Jim Crow-era racist white Conservatives.

I gave you four links that included academics, showing you how these racist statues were meant to intimidate black people. I didn't say if they were successful or not, but that they were erected for that purpose.

You're the one who can't remember anything unless there's a big stone statue.

You are obfuscating.

What other story?

You're the one who said we needed these monuments to tell the other side of the story. Well, what is that other side? Because it seems pretty simple to me:

"We want slavery and we're invading your state for it"
"We don't want slavery, and we're fighting to push you out"

The end. No statue needed. Both stories told.

None of them fought a war against the United States to preserve the institution of slavery.

But your guys did, and apparently you have memory problems that would prevent you from knowing that unless you saw a statue.

My guys? Again, I do not live in the South. I do not support slavery. I was not alive in the 1860's. I've already told you that I don't care in the least if local governments want to remove statues from their own cities.

You're still reduced to stupid ad hominem. You have lost.

That's why I listen to people who are.

That's why I gave you those four links.

You don't want to accept the racism in Confederate monuments because you're a racist yourself. That's the only reason anyone would want to keep those monuments around. "Remembering history" is bullshit because books, the internet, TV, and movies exist. You don't need a statue in order to know the South lost the Civil War.

There you go again with that stupid line about knowing that the South lost. Smoke a joint. It will ease your anguish.

I notice how you keep walking yourself back from post-to-post.

And why wouldn't your same shitty argument for Gettysburg also apply to all the other places these monuments are? You said we need them in order to remember history. What difference does it make if they're on Gettysburg grounds vs. anywhere else? Same garbage argument continues to apply. So there's a distinction without difference, and it means you're passively defending all Confederate monuments.

And it's privilege to say "I don't care about the others". Obviously you do, since you wouldn't be using the same argument to preserve the Confederate monuments at Gettysburg as they're using to defend them elsewhere.

So what history will you forget if the Confederate monuments at Gettysburg are removed?

Shut up, loser.

Repeating stupid stuff in huge fonts is just another indication that you have lost.

Look, I don't know what kind of mental disability you have where you can only remember things if they're erected in stone.

You should go seek help from a mental health professional who can treat your memory loss.
