Why Most Republicans Don’t Like Higher Education

I've never seen a capitalist build a factory - they must work in the dark! They must be very strong to install the machinery on their own too. These things are produced by workers working. The thieves just spend some of their thievings on crappy propaganda, obviously. We could do it all in a tiny proportion of the time and provide everything free without these crooks interfering.

Ever see a laborer purchase the machinery for a factory?

WRONG. Capitalism is freedom to create what you want, and to sell it for what you can get for it. It is the freedom to create new products and markets that never existed before. It is the freedom to create wealth. It requires no government to implement it. It is capitalism that brings civilization out of the jungle.
You live in a total dream. Under capitalism the very rich eat the bodies of those who do the work. New markets are very like new houses for burglars. Burglars and other scoundrels control capitalist government to destroy the freedom of those who do the work and of those whose countries they are invading, obviously.

Agreed, which means Republicans are no more likely than Democrats to attend college for that reason. Your generalization about Republicans has nothing to support it but your bigoted opinion.

It's not my impression that all democrats are quite that bad - lots and lots of them seem to want education because it makes them fuller human beings, which is the point. If some of the Republicans who post on here shared that aim, it doesn't seem to have worked for them. Pity!

Then education is also property that somebody is stealing from somebody else. The teacher was kidnapped to work and stealing his knowledge to give to others.

Which society does not "kidnap" people to work?

I was talking about slavery per se, not wage slavery. I don't take your point, I'm afraid. Under capitalism it is necessary to give the mugs a limited education as well as training the crooks, and a lot of decent people seize the chance for real education.

And in a socialist society the government steals some of the wealth produced by the workers and the workers also have to work for the state or starve. The only difference is the capitalist bosses call it profit and the socialist bosses call it taxes--but the bosses still get more under both systems.

What keeps the workers from joining together and producing these things themselves?

There aren't any socialist countries, as you know. Where they existed your armies went in and murdered vast numbers. Union-busting is one of the very many means that stops the workers from producing things themselves, but where they can face working with this shitty system they manage quite often. It hardly seems worth pretending the capitalist system is not mortally sick, however.

Wanting an education because it makes them fuller human beings is nothing you can relate to political party. Certainly liberals and conservatives are more attracted to certain fields. Wanting a fuller life and to be financially successful are not mutually exclusive. Having financial security allows one to travel, attend symphonies and operas, contribute to charities and political campaigns---things that contribute to a fuller life.

Whose armies murdered vast numbers in socialist China, Cuba, North Korea, the former Soviet Union? More were murdered by their own leaders than "your" armies.

Again, why don't those workers quit those jobs and join together to produce something useful they don't have to give to their evil bosses? That is exactly what my yard guy has done. He came here from Mexico, worked for landscapers to learn the business, and then started his own business and hires other immigrants to work for him. He now has over 100 customers. Of course, he is probably evil and pays himself more than he pays his workers. He also buys and maintains all his equipment, does all the payroll and taxes, recruits customers, collects the money.

Open your eyes sometime. It happens all the time. Whole industries have been created right in the broad light of day.
They must be very strong to install the machinery on their own too.
Capitalists create the machinery. Capitalists install the machinery.

Workers working for a capitalist doesn't change anything.

No, they steal wealth. That's what makes them thieves.

Do you work for free? How do you feed and house yourself? How do you pay for the computer and network you are using? Do you expect companies to give away their products?

In state capitalism the state becomes a big firm on the world market, such as was the USSR. Without its government to shoot people down capitalism wouldn't last five minutes, obviously. You were brainwashed as a result of McCarthy and know nothing about the matter, I'm afraid.

Governments don't produce anything. Communist nations do have the government owning all the factories, but they know nothing about how to run them or about the market they sell to.

Capitalism created civilization. It has lasted for thousands of years, long before McCarthy and his paranoid views.

LOL...poor guy....doesn't understand certification;(

He doesn't understand that when hiring for a position, experience trumps his silly little paper,
unless some stupid idiot with a paper who knows nothing about the position he/she's hiring for
is doing the hiring. Just had a conversation with the nurse at the Dr, office today, she agrees.

He also doesn't understand plus hours.... ‘(Teachers can also earn more additional‘ education (those are the “lane” increases). Some districts* move teachers into a higher pay column when they earn a certain number of credit hours of professional development or continuing ed. Bachelor‘s plus:)

They sure do, dumbfuck. But they sure as shit don’t call the degree a bachelors “plus”. It’s still just a bachelors degree, pal. The bullshit about “plus” is just that. Bullshit.

My kid’s “plus” is called a Masters degree. You never managed that one?

:rofl2:

Sure as shit not, dumbfuck. Just like anybody else, they only had a bachelors until they earned a new degree. Nothing “plus” about it. Pure horseshit.

You’re a retired teacher? Pretty fucking lazy that you would get all those “pluses” and never obtain the next degree.

Of course they had plus....I just explained that...Perhaps you missed it...you lose....;)

We don't agree here, though I follow the argument. In my experience people who care about money do things with it merely to show off - as I say, my experience has made me cynical.
