Under Dubyah it was 'patriotism'. Everyone likes to pretend that a number of Democrats wanted to go to war in Iraq. Everyone who denounced the banging of the Bush war drum was immediately branded 'UnAmerican', or 'Unpatriotic'. Individuals/Corporations/Media Outlets were attacked on a daily basis.

MAGA twisted it so only those who subscribe to that which you posted above are real 'Patriots'. They 'need to take the country back'.

It sells. It has a good beat, and you can dance to it.

Courage is being afraid but doing it anyway. Notice which Democrats lacked the spine to stand up against accusations of being “unAmerican” or “unpatriotic”.

Never vote for a liar or a coward. That’s how we ended up with over 4400 dead Americans and thousands of American families wrecked by the Iraq War and with wannabe dictators in elected office.
