Now the families have a shot at the estate. No, he did not.He is innocent until proven guilty in the eyes of the law. That does not mean I have to believe he is innocent, it only means the government cannot impose a criminal penalty.
I believe O.J. was clearly guilty, but he was found not guilty under the rules of criminal law. He still had to pay a huge judgement.
A $33 million civil wrongful death judgment was obtained in 1997 against Simpson. The judgment was not paid in any meaningful way for the past 27 years and, with interest, has grown to over $100 million.

You haven't been right this century.
Regardless, IIRC, the judgment was partly what drove OJ to commit a violent robbery crime which put him in prison for 9 years on a sentence of 33 years with the chance parole in 9.
I don’t know all of OJ’s problems, but his life started going downhill after the murders. He defaulted on mortgages, pissed away all of his money and became a hot mess. Was it guilt? Mental illness? Both? IDK, but clearly his life ended badly and not happily as it should have for someone of his career and opportunities.
