Florida snatches parental authority!

Another good question... How nice it would be if parents and kids would just follow the rules... that are put in place for the safety of the children...I'm sure sites have ways to flag accounts that look suspect.... However, it works out it's going to be helpful in the long run... Some parents will be responsible... I'm not sure why any parent would not want to cooperate...

Sites have no way to flag 'suspects' since the rules are different depending on who the browser is being run by and on where the browser is being run from. This sets up a variation of 'suspect' accounts depending on knowing what jurisdiction the browser is running in and on knowing who is running the browser.

What if other States set up similar laws using different ages? What of the States have no such law? There is no way to tell which State the browser is even running in!

So how do you define 'suspect'?

you are getting lost in the weeds again retardo - you do that quite a bit

do you agree that we have power to stop child abuse

yes or no?

I assume you mean allowing access to social media by children as 'child abuse', since that is the topic of this thread.

No.

Descant is signed a new law in Florida making it illegal for children under 14 to have social media accounts, EVEN IF THEY HAVE PARENTAL PERMISSION!

Republican or Democrat... Conservative or Liberal.... politicians are generally all the same. They want big, overbearing, intrusive government and can find justification for it.

Strawman claim. LINK to this bullshit shrill halfwit.

 The definition of stupid and dishonest.

Yo, dumbass, what part of the law prohibits kids from social media? It says without parental permission. It is giving parents rights not taking them away like you leftists love to do when it comes to porn in libraries and gender disfigurement.

The part of the law that prohibits kids younger than 14.

Why do kids need to be on social media anyway? Put the phone down and the computer away... There isn't a single reason for anyone of them to beyond social media.... I guess we'll wait to see how the one in Florida works out... I'm for it...

so you have a monopoly power on what is and is not child abuse?

bwahaha. still the same dipshit with a 2 cent brain

Pivot fallacy. Insult fallacy. Try to stay on topic.

I am not claiming monopoly power on what is 'child abuse'. I am only pointing out the topic of this thread. YOU and only YOU are trying to equate this with all forms of 'child abuse'.

There are bad parents out there who let their kids game and play on their phones for hours upon hours, but it's not the governments job to raise kids or tell parents how to raise kids.

Quite the change of lifestyle for kids...a generation raised on video games, cell phones, and computers.
They never learned to find much in the ways to amuse themselves besides that!

I know that's sad to say, but it is what it is.

so you dipshits support a parent renting such a movie and allowing the kids watch at home.

That is not a theater. You can't equate the two as the same.

No, I do not support any parent doing that.

This thread, however, is not about movie theaters, or renting such movies. Stay on topic. This thread is about the social media law passed by Desantis.

so I can starve my kids as a form of punishment?

or use a belt buckle to really get my point across?

government has no say?

Never too late to start...;)
