If we weren't one due to the Louisiana Purchase or the Annexation of Texass, we became one for sure after the Mexican War. We've been a global empire since the Spanish-American War landed us Cuba, Puerto Rico, Guam, the Philippines, and I believe that's also when we acquired American Samoa, the US Virgin Islands, and the Northern Mariana Islands. Oh, yeah, and we annexed Hawaii before all of that.

If the message Kasich was presenting was so good, people would listen. Bernie didn't stand a chance when the only concern lefties have this year is getting someone elected that has a vagina between her legs.

Not to mention our habit of making client countries in places like South America. And then there are our 600+ military bases in foreign lands.

I haven't supported the use of our military by Democrats either, and I think Obama in particular has been pretty terrible when it comes to foreign policy.

So, oops! You think you have some sort of equivalency by bringing up those areas of the world, but guess what? You do not, and you're just as trite as those who keep bringing up the "Dem quotes" on WMD's.
