lose everything in anatural disastor and lose your vote

Sorry about the tripple post. My power blinked off and on and somehow it posted three times when my wireless router reset.

First, we have to accept the word of a partisan repubican Secretary of State, that this is acutally a legitimate problem.

Second, if it is a problem, its a problem that can be fixed by counties and states with the information they already posses. They don't need to issue new national nazi ID cards.

But John Roberts exists in multiple states....
so if it is just on the state and local level....

havind a national ID system would also help to prevent identity theft.
Not solve, but help.

Voting in multiple states is forbidden by state law in all 50 states. If a state decided to let voters from other states vote for their government officials, however, I'm sure an argument could be made for disfranchisment and dilution of individual voting power.
So one state can enforce its law in another state ?

I'm for a national ID. I believe in removing as much power from the states as possible. ;)

Agreed, It ould also mak it easier to catch criminals and such.
And for those who whine about privacy, etc. grow up, private concerns have far more info on you new that the govt does.

It'll also prevent mistakes like, say, purging the wrong person from a voting list because their name is an 80 percent match to someone else's (Ohio).

Under what constitutional authority are you morons going to bring about this civil rights decaying legislation? Under what authority are you going to send Americans to prison for no reason than not wanting to accept your needless beaurocracy?

And what is it due to? Some fearmongering about terrorists?

I'm just sick of having to apply for a new license every time I move to a new state. It's annoying and expensive and you have to dig up all the paperwork, which can also be expensive if you can't find it.
