The Constitution protects Trumps tax returns

Are you trying to justify infringing on Trump's 4th amendment right?

Not at all. I am trying to explain that the 4th amendment only applies to evidence used in criminal prosecutions which does not apply in this case.

If Trump's 4th amendment rights are challenged I will defend those rights.

Where does it say that in the 4th amendment? My copy makes no distinction such as you claim. The amendment is about law enforcement which would include "law makers." There's no exemptions in the amendment for the
Congress or anybody. It prohibits everybody and anybody from jeopardizing, and messing with anybody's houses, papers and effects without due process and "PROBABLE CAUSE!!!!!!"

Study constitutional law and history and it becomes apparent. Have you ever heard of a person's 4th amendment rights being violated for non-criminal case? If so, what is the case?

If the IRS finds possible fraud in a person's tax returns, they can investigate those issues. Do they have probable cause to request information to support the person's tax return claims?

yeah the constitution was super clear on taxes . Of course Federal taxes did not start until 1913. Boy, they could see ahead couldn't they?

The constitution is totally silent on taxes. You guys are making shit up to protect Daffy again. The real laws say the IRS shall provide Trump's taxes if asked. The house is simply using their investigative powers to maintain checks and balances. Translation, they are doing their damn jobs. There is nothing more fundamental than maintaining checks and balances. It protects the basic concepts of the constitution and the intentions of the framers.
Rightys cannot understand what potential damage Trump is threatening to do to the concepts the nation was founded on. Or they don't care.

how come after 2 years y'all still haven't pinned a crime on him?????

Nobody is trying to pin a crime on him. That is a loaded word that suggests they are trying to get an innocent man charged. That is not Trump. We do not know what 22 months of investigation has found since Barr is sitting on it. Lots of Trumps people have pleaded guilty and another 30 have been indicted. This is not exactly an atmosphere of innocence. This is a criminal mob in action. There are crooks and criminals all over Trumps entourage. The worst thing to the country is if Trump gets away with all the damage he has done and will do.

Article I, Section 8, Clause 1 of the United States Constitution assigns Congress the power to impose "Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises."

Federal taxes such as tariffs and excise taxes began under Washington. The first taxes on income were imposed during the Civil War.

Those were to pay the war . Not a tax structure at all like we started in 1913. That required the 16th amendment.

“The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.” (Amendment 4, United States Constitution)

Donald Trump has Zero obligation to open his tax returns to the public or the Congress regardless of any law written by the Congress unless the Congress or any person can show “probable cause” that Donald Trump has committed a crime and that his tax returns can deliver relevant evidence thereto said crime.

Every honest American should know that the Democrat controlled House of the Congress is simply on another witch hunt to pin any kind of crime or embarrassment on DonaldTrump. That doesn’t meet probable cause of a crime. If The Congress committee insist on getting Trump’s tax returns, I think they’re in for a court fight that will last for months if not years and end up in the Right dominated Supreme Court, and never get to see Trump’s taxes. Just sayin!!!

The tax forms belong to the federal government. They are not 'personal effects and papers.'

Why is it that no lefty on this thread will admit to wanting to violate Trump's 4th amendment rights?

They never read the Constitution, they know nothing about rights and freedom. All they know is what the DNC, MSNBC & CNN tell them. They're political brainwashed zombies.

Please post the article or amendment that supports your absurd claim!

You answered your own question! If the IRS finds "POSSIBLE FRAUD," they have "PROBABLE CAUSE." So where's the possible fraud the Democrats in Congress have found in Trump's tax returns?

TO get one part of the government to share its documents with another part of the government? You do not need PC for that.

I say you do!!!!! NO part of the government can violate anybody's constitutional rights!
